Our core values
No grand claims — just the principles the work is built on.
Sustainability
Extending the lifecycle of the hardware as a whole, or in parts.
Ethical
Sustainability comes before value recovery. We would rather recycle a batch and recover its raw materials than chase the last euro out of it.
Data security
Every batch we take on is handled under strict data security procedures, from the moment it leaves your facility to the moment it reaches its next owner.
Why reuse beats replacement
Most of the environmental cost of a server is incurred before it is ever switched on: in mining, manufacturing and shipping. Every year a working machine stays in service is a year that cost does not have to be paid again.
That is the whole argument for remarketing. It is not a sustainability programme bolted onto a sales model — it is what the business does. A batch we place with a new owner is equipment that did not need to be built.
As a whole, or in parts
Enterprise hardware is typically replaced on a refresh cycle, not because it has failed. The equipment leaving one organisation is often exactly what another one needs — either as a fully configured machine, or for the parts and components that keep an existing platform running after the manufacturer has moved on.
When recycling is the better outcome
Not everything should be remarketed. Where we have to choose, sustainability comes before value recovery: we would rather recycle a batch and recover its raw materials than chase the last euro by selling it into a market where it is dumped a year later, with nothing recovered at all. Passing equipment down a chain that ends in dumping is not lifecycle extension, whatever the invoice says.
That is a judgement we make about material we have taken on ourselves — it costs us the margin, and we accept that. It is a principle, not a service we sell.
To be clear about our scope: Clear-IT recovers value from equipment and extends its lifecycle. We are a remarketing partner — that is the work we do and the work we stand behind.
